[SCROLL DOWN FOR THE ENGLISH VERSION]

Grazie a Roberto, Mattia e ovviamente a Robert Säll. Enjoy!

– Quali sono i progetti futuri dei Work of Art?

Posso farti i nomi di gruppi come State of Salazar, Sonic Station, Xorigin etc.

Ci auguriamo di incontrarvi tutti in the road in futuro!

[ENGLISH VERSION]

– Welcome to Heavyworlds.com! It’s a pleasure to have the chance to talk with you about “Framework”, a great, inspired album. Where do you find all this joie de vivre and happiness?

We try to make music with a positive attitude. The kind of music you can get lost in and forget about all the worries in life, at least for a little while. We often describe our music as positive, uplifting and with lot’s of energy, just like the music we enjoy ourselves.

- Your new work seems to be close to “Artwork” and a kind of completion of “In Progress”: it’ s a closing triad or we will expect another chapter?

Well, it’s only a closing chapter in the sense that this third album was the last one that we already had given a names for back when we first formed the band. As far as the music goes, we always says that we take one album at the time and try to make the most of it. I’m sure there will be more music from us once this album has ran it’s course.

- Frontiers Records is an AOR and hard rock’ bulwark, how does it feels being part of this major international reality?

It feels great. We always wanted to be signed to Frontiers Records as frankly speaking, they are the company that have kept this style of music alive for the past 10 years or so. And we’re happy to say that we know have 6 years of a fruitful working relationship with them and hopefully many more years to come.

– Can you tell us something about your future projects?

Right now, we try to focus on this album but individually, we all have upcoming projects that will be released next year. Keep an I on our Facebook page for more details.

- Have you ever thought about a fourth member for Work of Art?

Well, not only a fourth member but if we would bring some people into the band, it would be both a bass and a keyboard player. But as the three of us go way back, we kind of find a way of working that really suits us and we really don’t need any other members in order to create new music. But we would like to think of our bass player Andreas Passmark and our keyboard player Jonas Göning as official members of the WOA live band. Live and studio are two completely different beasts when it comes to this band.

- Sweden is the land of AOR, which bands do you feel close to the most?

Well Eclipse of course because of our connection to them with WET. But musically I would say we feel close to bands that are more old school AOR and not so much 80’s hair metal. Bands like State of Salazar, Sonic Station and Xorigin etc.

- Is there a kind of rock/metal do you think you will never play?

Probably the kind of metal that has growl singing. I think we draw the line right there.

– Do you have in your private collection some unexpected albums, something poles apart Work of Art?

Oh, we could do an whole interview about those records. None of us has a majority of AOR records in their collection. Well listen to a lot of different music, everything from jazz to electronic music and everything in-between.

– Do you believe social networks and Spotify could be a good way to share music and have instant feedbacks from your fans?

Oh, absolutely! It’s very instant which of course it’s great for any band to get that kind of direct feedback. I just wished they could work out a more favorable deal for us artists when it comes to digital outlets like Spotify, YouTube etc.

- Thanks a lot from me and all Heavyworlds.com staff, can you please close our interview with a message to our users?

We would like to say thank our fans for all their support. It’s because of them this band have had life after that first album we made. Really hope to see all of you on the road in future!
