The Tremonti band was founded in 2011 by American guitarist and singer Mark Tremonti, known for his tenure in Alter Bridge and Creed and recognized as one of the most acclaimed musicians and composers in today’s global heavy metal scene.
With “The End Will Show Us How“, the band has now reached the milestone of their sixth studio album, released on January 10, 2025, via Napalm Records.
Nearly thirty years after Mark’s recording debut and thirteen years after “All I Was“, Tremonti’s first album, we are presented with a solid and musically impeccable work.
The opener, “The Mother, The Earth and I“, immediately strikes with its dark and dense sound, enriched by Tool-like obsessions and inevitable references to Alter Bridge. “One More Time” and “Nails” are rhythmically intense, featuring groovy guitars, Mark’s unmistakable trademark. “Just Too Much” is a complex and distinctive track, showcasing more intricate guitar arrangements. The chorus almost recalls a heavier version of Three Days Grace. With the semi-ballad “It’s Not Over” and the subsequent title track, the music softens slightly, the tempos expand, and the melodies become more reminiscent of an Alter Bridge record.
The following songs, “Tomorrow We Will Fail“, “I’ll Take My Chances” (featuring truly powerful drumming), and “The Bottom“, flow without major surprises.
The sheer force of “Live in Fear” does not go unnoticed: the powerful guitars blend seamlessly with an equally intense rhythm section, evoking elements reminiscent of Mnemic. “Now That I’ve Made It” is another track in classic Tremonti style, yet with an even stronger emotional component (the build-up towards the finale is particularly striking). The closing track, “All The Wicked Things“, features some synth inserts, the album’s only experimental touch, and a great guitar solo at the end, providing a strong and convincing conclusion.
Ultimately, “The End Will Show Us How” is a solid modern hard rock album, featuring melodies that, while not particularly memorable, are highly enjoyable to listen to. Mark delivers an outstanding vocal performance, crafting excellent and catchy choruses, supported by a solid instrumental foundation built on top-tier guitar work.

I Tremonti sono stati fondati nel 2011 dal chitarrista e cantante statunitense Mark Tremonti, noto per sua militanza negli Alter Bridge e nei Creed e riconosciuto come uno dei musicisti e compositori più apprezzati dell’attuale panorama heavy metal mondiale.
Con “The End Will Show Us How” la band giunge oggi al traguardo del suo sesto album in studio, uscito il 10 gennaio 2025 tramite Napalm Records. A quasi trent’anni dall’esordio discografico di Mark e a 13 dal primo album “All I Was” targato Tremonti, ci troviamo al cospetto di un lavoro robusto e musicalmente ineccepibile.
L’opener “The Mother, The Earth and I” colpisce subito col suo sound cupo e corposo, corredato di ossessioni Toolliane e di inevitabili richiami agli Alter Bridge. “One More Time” e “Nails” sono ritmicamente incalzanti e con chitarre groovose, il tipico marchio di fabbrica di Mark. “Just Too Much” risulta un pezzo articolato e particolare, forte di intrecci chitarristici più ricercati. Nel refrain ricorda quasi una versione più heavy dei Three Days Grace. Con la semi ballad “It’s Not Over” e la sequente titletrack,
la musica si ammorbidisce un poco, i ritmi si dilatano e le melodie sono più similari ad un disco degli Alter Bridge. I brani successivi, ovvero “Tomorrow We Will Fail”, “I’ll Take My Chances” (con un drumming davvero poderoso) e “The Bottom” scorrono tutti via senza particolari sussulti. L’irruenza di “Live in Fear” non passa inosservata: le chitarre possenti si incastrano in una sezione ritmica altrettanto vigorosa, richiamando alla mente qualcosa degli Mnemic. “Now That I’ve Made It” è un altro brano in perfetto stile Tremonti, dove però la componente emotiva è ancora più marcata (davvero bello il crescendo sul finale).
La conclusiva “All The Wicked Things”, con all’interno alcuni inserti synth (unico slancio sperimentale del disco) e un grande assolo di chitarra sul finale, chiude in modo convincente il disco.
In definitiva “The End Will Show Us How” è un buon album di hard rock, moderno e dotato di melodie che, sebbene non memorabili, si lasciano ascoltare con molto piacere. Mark fa un gran lavoro alla voce, creando ritornelli molto validi ed orecchiabili, poggiati su un impianto strumentale solido fatto di trame chitarriste di altissimo
livello.
