Bonfire’s “Higher Ground” is a powerful return to form, a bold statement of the band’s enduring passion for hard rock. From the first note to the last, it’s clear that Bonfire is here to deliver a mix of epic anthems, powerful riffs, and captivating vocals. Let’s break down the album track by track:

The album kicks off with “Nostradamus“, a slow-building intro with the sound of rain, creating a sense of something monumental on the horizon. As the choir of voices, guitars, and drums join in, the track takes on an almost cinematic quality. It’s a strong opener that promises great things to come. Then, “I Will Rise” hits hard. With its punchy drumming and fiery guitar riff, it immediately catches your attention. As always, the vocals are spot on, with a performance that matches the intensity of the music. It’s an energetic, feel-good anthem—this one’s a hit for sure. “Higher Ground” continues the momentum, with a driving rhythm that’s impossible to ignore. It’s an infectious, rhythm-driven track that perfectly embodies the spirit of the album. When “I Died Tonight” plays, it’s impossible not to get hooked by its catchy chorus. The track has an instantly memorable quality, and the vocals from Dyan Mair shine as they always do. This one’s definitely a sing-along favorite with its infectious hooks and solid guitar riffs. “Lost All Control” introduces some impressive guitar solos that add depth to the song, showcasing the technical prowess of the band. It’s a hard-hitting track with some great instrumental moments. Then comes “When Love Comes Down“, a touching ballad that slows the pace and offers a more intimate vibe. The song pulls you in with its emotional depth and beautiful arrangements—a real standout moment in the album. “Fallin’” follows, staying true to the Bonfire sound, but “Come Hell or High Water” gives us something darker and heavier. With a slight Black Sabbath-esque atmosphere, this track offers a change of pace, with its brooding, powerful riffs.

“Jealousy” begins with a fast, energetic intro that leads into a surprising vocal performance. It’s high-energy and full of grit, with a chorus that will stick in your head for hours. “Spinnin’ in the Black” feels like a natural progression, maintaining the album’s steady pace with more of the signature hard rock sound that fans expect from Bonfire. Finally, “Rock’n’Roll Survivor” (2024 Version) brings the album to a close. It’s a new take on an older classic, offering a refreshing update to the iconic track with a modern touch.

Overall, “Higher Ground” is a triumph. Bonfire delivers a collection of tracks that blend their classic hard rock roots with new elements that push their sound forward. With incredible guitar work, thunderous drumming, and fantastic vocals, it’s clear that Bonfire is not just reliving their glory days but forging a bold new path.

["post-36523","review","type-review","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry

[ENG] BONFIRE - Higher Ground - Heavyworlds.com

<meta property="og:description" content="Bonfire’s “Higher Ground” is a powerful return to form, a bold statement of the band’s enduring passion for hard rock.
