[ENG] After a hiatus that left fans holding their breath, Inglorious return stronger than ever with their fifth studio album, simply titled “V.” The choice of title is both understated and powerful, as if to say: “We’re back, and we know exactly who we are”.

This record marks a pivotal moment for the British band, who have rekindled their original chemistry with the return of bassist Colin Parkinson, co-writer of the first three albums, and have solidified their creative partnership with frontman Nathan James, a distinctive and charismatic voice, fresh off a period of intense work outside the band.

From the opening notes of “Testify”, there’s a clear sense of renewed energy: gritty guitars, a tight rhythm section, and vocals that have lost none of their force. The true heart of the album, however, is “Say What You Wanna Say”, a bold, high-energy track that blends classic hard rock with a punk-inspired edge. The chorus is instantly memorable, and it’s easy to picture crowds screaming it back at the stage.

The album strikes a confident balance between heavier, more aggressive songs (“Eat You Alive,” “Devil Inside”) and introspective, melodic moments like “Silent” and “In Your Eyes”, showcasing a band that knows how to hit hard while still crafting music with emotional depth.

A special mention goes to “Power of Truth”, which closes the album with elegance and grace. It’s a moving, emotionally charged ballad where Nathan James delivers a more intimate and vulnerable performance, supported by subtle yet powerful arrangements. It’s the kind of track that lingers, adding a final note of depth and maturity to the whole work.

One of the key elements of this new chapter is the addition of guitarist Richard Shaw (formerly of Cradle of Filth), who brings fresh energy and technical flair without compromising the band’s identity. On drums, Henry Rogers proves himself once again: precise, powerful, and refined in the more delicate moments.

Produced by Colin Parkinson and mixed by Tony Draper, the same engineer behind “Inglorious II” and “Ride to Nowhere“, the album stays true to the band’s roots while raising the bar in terms of sonic quality. Every instrument has space to shine, but it’s Nathan James’s voice that commands the spotlight, with his seasoned tone and magnetic presence.

“V” isn’t just a new album, it’s a declaration of rebirth, artistic self-awareness, and a burning desire to start fresh. After years of relentless work and a well-deserved break, Inglorious prove they still have plenty to say, and plenty of fire left to deliver it.

A mature, honest, and gritty return. Long-time fans won’t be disappointed, and for newcomers, this is the perfect place to dive into the world of Inglorious.

["post-36947","review","type-review","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry

[ENG/ITA] INGLORIOUS - V - Heavyworlds.com

<meta property="og:description" content="[ENG] After a hiatus that left fans holding their breath, Inglorious return stronger than ever with their fifth studio album, simply titled “V.” The choice of title is both understated and powerful, as if to say: “We’re back, and we know exactly who we are”.
