[ENG] With “Electric Dreams“, Nicklas Sonne takes a major step in his solo career, delivering an album that blends power, introspection, and technical skill with impressive balance. Known as the frontman of Defecto and a key figure in the Danish metal scene, Sonne fully steps into the spotlight with a record that feels handcrafted and deeply personal. The result is a sound rooted in classic hard rock and progressive metal, yet polished with modern production that keeps everything sharp and current.

Right from the opening track “Fireline”, there’s a raw, instinctive energy that runs through the entire album. Sonne has described “Electric Dreams” as a journey back to his earliest musical inspirations, and it really does feel like a return, an exploration of roots, but with the tools of experience. Each song unfolds like a chapter, with tight songwriting, rich arrangements, and vocals that move between power and vulnerability with effortless control.

One of the standout tracks, “Baron Of Mischief”, channels intense emotion and inner chaos. Sonne calls it a metaphor for a mind unraveling under the weight of fear, and you can hear that tension in every note. The track’s visualizer only adds to the dark, theatrical vibe. But the whole album has range: from the driving energy of “Route 65” to the almost cinematic sweep of “Epic Song” or “Helldivers Anthem”, and the ballad “Always With Us“.

More than just the performer, Sonne also handled the album’s production, and it shows. The sound is full, clean, and dynamic. His years of experience, including collaborations with legendary names like Flemming Rasmussen (Metallica) and work on ambitious projects like Aries Descendant, clearly shaped this mature and inspired record.

“Electric Dreams” is more than just a well-executed metal album, it’s a sincere artistic statement. Sonne brings together the muscle of heavy music with the soul of a storyteller, confirming once again that he’s one of Europe’s most compelling and versatile metal artists. Highly recommended for fans of prog, classic heavy metal, or anyone who listens with their heart as well as their ears.

["post-36955","review","type-review","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry

[ENG/ITA] NICKLAS SONNE - Electric Dreams - Heavyworlds.com

<meta property="og:description" content="[ENG] With “Electric Dreams“, Nicklas Sonne takes a major step in his solo career, delivering an album that blends power, introspection, and technical skill with impressive balance.
