[ENG] ELEINE are back with a new EP, “We Stand United” (out September 5 via RPM). It’s short, sure, but it doesn’t feel small. Every track has weight, and the aftertaste stays longer than you’d think.
The intro, “Towards The Fields“, works like a movie score, slow build, almost cinematic. Then boom, the title track. It’s loud, heavy, easy to imagine thousands of people shouting it back. Anthem territory, no doubt.
The two live tracks (“Never Forget” and “We Are Legion“, recorded at Masters of Rock 2024) are messy in the best way. You hear the crowd, the sweat, the energy bleeding through. This is where the band breathes.
And then, curveball! “Promise of Apocalypse – Symphonic Version“. Gone are the riffs, replaced by sweeping strings and atmosphere. It’s tender, dramatic, almost fragile. And through it all, Madeleine’s vocals shine, her voice cuts through with clarity and emotion, giving the track its goosebump factor.
So no, this isn’t just a “between albums” EP. It’s ELEINE showing different sides of themselves: powerful, anthemic, and, when they want, strikingly vulnerable. That’s why it works. That’s why it sticks.
[ITA] Gli ELEINE tornano con un nuovo EP, “We Stand United” (disponibile dal 5 settembre su etichetta RPM). È breve, certo, ma non per questo poco incisivo. Ogni pezzo ha un peso specifico, e l’effetto che lascia addosso dura più di quanto si pensi.
L’introduzione, “Towards The Fields“, è quasi una colonna sonora, con un crescendo lento, cinematografico. Poi, d’un tratto, esplode la title track. È un pezzo potente, massiccio, facilissimo da immaginare cantato a squarciagola da migliaia di persone. Puro territorio da inno.
I due brani dal vivo, “Never Forget“ e “We Are Legion“ (registrati al Masters of Rock 2024), sono “disordinati” nel senso più positivo del termine. Senti il pubblico, il sudore, l’energia che trapela. È qui che la band si esprime al meglio.
E poi, un colpo di scena! “Promise of Apocalypse – Symphonic Version“. Via i riff, sostituiti da archi avvolgenti e un’atmosfera unica. Il pezzo è tenero, drammatico, quasi fragile. E in tutto questo, la voce di Madeleine splende, limpida ed emozionante, da far venire i brividi.
Insomma, non è un semplice EP “di passaggio” tra due album. È la prova che gli ELEINE sanno mostrare i loro diversi lati: potenti, epici e, quando serve, incredibilmente vulnerabili. È per questo che funziona. Ed è per questo che ti rimane impresso.
