– Il tuo strumento e quello che invece sognavi di suonare da bambino?
Sono un bassista, il mio primo strumento quando iniziai a suonare fu una chitarra ma non mi sono mai sentito del tutto a mio agio, quando scoprii il basso fu subito un punto di non ritorno, non l’avrei più cambiato per nessun’altro strumento.
– Il musicista che ti fa sentire piccolo piccolo?
Credo che io abbia ancora molto da imparare, ma ascoltando Cliff Burton e Billy Sheenan, tra tutti, mi sento davvero molto piccolo.
– Il disco su cui avresti voluto suonare?
“Doom In Nation”? Ahahaha. Penso che “Painkiller” sia un album dove davvero mi sarebbe piaciuto suonare, lo adoro.
– Qual è l’elemento peggiore della tua band?
I soldi che non abbiamo.
– Racconta un episodio imbarazzante che coinvolge il suddetto elemento.
Durante l’ultimo tour ad esempio abbiamo dormito in macchina aprecchie volte, ma credo che sia la fase attraverso cui passano tutti i gruppi.
– L’abito o l’accessorio più imbarazzante che hai indossato ad un concerto?
NOn ne ricordo nessuno, sono abbastanza discreto su queste cose.
– L’abito o l’accessorio più imbarazzante che hai visto indossare a qualcuno sul palco?
Un cantante con pantaloni attillati e leopardati, mi chiedo ancora perchè non gli ho tirato un pugno ahahahah
– Cosa pensi quando guardi il tuo pubblico?
Credo sia qualcosa di indescrivibile, un misto di emozioni. Sarò sempre grato per questo; è qualcosa di essenziale per tutti i musicisti, che la gente apprezzi e mostri rispetto per la tua musica.
– Ti è mai successo qualcosa di incredibile con un tuo fan?
Durante il tour di DOom in Nation in Serbia, è capitato che un fan abbia rubato un CD perchè non aveva i soldi per comprarlo, abbiamo capito che per lui era importante e glielo abbiamo dato. Allora lui è tornato velocemente a casa, ha preso un CD dalla sua collezione personale e ce l’ha riportato come scambio, ricordo che era un album degli Slayer.
– Da chi non potresti mai accettare una proposta indecente?
OHHH! Sono fidanzato, quindi non accetto proposte indecenti. Chiedetelo a Pablo, lui è l’esperto ahahaha.
– E da chi non la rifiuteresti mai?
MMM, ecco questa domanda mi creerà dei problemi, ma non avete le solite domande “Com’è nata la band?” ahahahahah
– Ti hanno mai fatto proposte indecenti?
No, mai, ma credo che il nostro “Lucios Power” proporrà qualcosa molto presto ahahahah
– Pensa a tre situazioni in cui ti piacerebbe sentire la tua musica di sottofondo.
Penso che la nostra musica rifletta molti modi di essere, la mia vita è sempre stata rappresentata da tutte le bands in cui ho suonato. 1) Ad esempio, il mio gruppo mi rappresentava molto. Le canzoni erano difficili e complicate, un buon esempio per mostrare come mi sentivo in quel momento. 2) “Something grows” ( intro dell’album “Doom In Nation”). Si sentonod ei passi e una porta che si apre, e il nostro primo album ci ha aperto molte porte. 3) “Follow the beat of your heart” (“Doom In Nation”). Rispecchia davvero come stavo in quel momento. Seguendo i nostri pensieri (considerando che è una parte essenziale di un concept album).
– Hai mai desiderato che un tuo concerto finisse al più presto? Se sì, perchè?
Sì, dopo un infortunio alla schiena, ma visto che ormai il concerto era confermato suonammo lo stesso. NOn volevano deludere i fans e gli organizzatori della serata. L’unica cosa che riuscivo a pensare era di finire lo show e posare il basso, il suo peso mi stava uccidendo.
– Da spettatore, che cosa davvero non sopporti ai concerti?
No, ci sono persone che vanno a divertirsi, ascoltare della buona musica e godersi lo show. C’è sempre qualche noioso cretino, ma di solito cerco di divertirmi e godermi lo spettacolo.
– Hai un portafortuna/feticcio/rito scaramantico pre o post concerto?
Non faccio molto caso a queste cose, ma alcune cose diventano un’abitudine, tipo i braccialetti o una bandana.
– Le groupies sono una leggenda?
No, non le vedo in questa maniera. Oggi ci sono tante ragazze che decidono di andare ai concerti per la musica e per stare con gli amici, non penso che siano groupies. (Certo che no, caro Ariel! Ci mancherebbe altro… ndF)

– Your musical instrument and the one you are used to dream about when you were a child?
I am a bass player, my first instrument when I started playing music was a guitar but I never get to feel comfortable with it, when I discovered a bass it was a story of no return, I couldn`t change it for anything.
– Which musician makes you feel really small?
I think that I have to learn a lot of things with the instrument yet, but listening to the bass lines of Cliff Burton, Billy Sheenan between others I feel really small.
– In which album would you have liked to play?
Doom In Nation? hahaha. I think that Painkiller is an album that I really would have liked to play in, I love that album.
– The worst element in your band.
The money that we don’t have.
– Tell us an anecdote about him!
In our last tour we had to sleep in the car many times, but I think that all bands passed through this some time.
– The most embarrassing clothing or accessory you wear on stage?
I dont’ remember really, but I’m pretty discreete for such things.
– The most embarrassing clothing or accessory you’ve seen wearing on stage?
A singer with a leopard tight ripped pants, until today I’m wondering why i didn`t knock him hahaha.
– What do you think when you look at your fans from the stage?
Its an undiscribable feeling, a mix of a lot of feelings. I will always be greatfull for that. Its something essential for any musician that people appreciate and show respect for our music.
Playing music is great, but it’s better share it with the rest of the people.
– Have you ever experienced something really crazy with a fan?
During our Doom In Nation Tour at a show in Serbia there was a fan that beged a cd because he didn’t have money to pay it, but that it was very important for him and when we gave it to him he went quickly to his house and came back with a cd from his personal collection in a form of appreciation, I rember that it was one from Slayer.
– From whom you really cannot accept an indecent proposal?
OHHH! I’m in a couple, so I can’t accept indecent proposals. Ask this things to Pablo, he is the bachelor hahaha.
– And from whom you can’t refuse it?
MMM, this questions will give me problems, aren’t there questions like “How did you form the band?” hahaha.
– Have you ever received those kind of proposal?
No, never, but I think that our stage “Lucios Power” will propose something soon hahaha.
– 3 situations in the real life which would fit perfectly with your music, as a sort of soundtrack…
I think that our music reflects a lot our way of being, in all the bands where I played, my life was some way represented there.
1) For example, my first band reflected my life a lot. The songs were very difficult and complicated, it’s a good example of how i felt at that moment.
2) Something grows (The intro of the album Doom In Nation). You can here some steps and a door opens, I think that being our first album it opened a lot of doors for us.
3) Follow the beat of your heart (First difussion cut from Doom In Nation) It’s a reflect of how I felt at that moment. Following out thoughts (Event though it is a part of a conceptual album and it’s a feeling of the main character).
– Have you ever wished to end playing in a gig as soon as possible? If yes, why?
Yes, An injure in my back, but as we had already confirmed the gig we played anywhere. We didn’t want to dissapoint our fans and promoters. The only thing I was thinking at that moment was to finish the show and get the bass out of me, the weight of the instrument was hurting me too much.
– As a spectator, is there something you really hate about crowd at gigs?
No, they are people that go to the shows to have fun, listen some music and have some fun. There are always some freak bothering, but I always try to enjoy everything of the shows.
– Do you have some lucky charm, talisman, fetish pre or post show?
I don’t believe in this things too much, but some of them became an habit, Wristbands and headscarf.
– Groupies still exist?
No, I don’t see it that way. Today there a lot of women that decide to go to the shows to enjoy music and spend time with friends, I don’t think that they are groupies.
